Our Current Project: Keymono.gg
Two industries have been around for way over a decade. But while one has degenerated and one thrives, no one ever thought of bringing them both together. And the idea is so easy that we are flabbergasted no one else came up with it. One is the CPA marketing industry, with an emphasis on incentive traffic. There are networks full of advertisers that need new customers, and are perfectly fine with accepting visitors that get something in return. It's simple really: Users are being paid or rewarded with either money, access to members-only content, or virtual currency in exchange for completing offers. For example, in many game apps for mobile these days, you can get in-game currency, special items or similar rewards in exchange for completing surveys, or trying out some subscription service on a free trial basis. So why shouldn't the same be possible for items that would actually be worth paying for? We quickly came up with video game keys, which are an ever-growing industry. Essentially, video games are available on several well-established brands like G2A, Kinguin or Gamivo, often with huge discounts. Some games with a sticker price reaching 25 USD or more are available for mere pennies.
Why not just give them to the customer for free, in exchange for him doing some simple tasks? Likewise, webmasters and other content creators sometimes have trouble with making a real income from their projects, as traditional affiliate programs for video games either overcharge the customer (or rather, having them pay full sticker price), while the cheaper alternatives paying webmasters only about 5% of an already low sum. "We can do better!", we thought. As the research went on, we were shocked that most existing solutions relied on either super-complicated "click here, try to make your way through our insanely confusing "offer walls", find an offer that is actually legitimate, and with a bit of luck, you might get your game" flows. Or, even worse, most sites of this kind are actually nothing more than scams, designed to lure users into making cash for the webmaster and, in turn, receiving nothing at all.
On the affiliate offer side, it wasn't much better: There was just no way for third parties to make an income from running traffic to these sites, apart from maybe getting 5% off the referrals accumulated points, which could then be exchanged for way overpriced game keys. No one in their right mind and with a business attitude would ever link to such a site. "So why not just make our own offer wall? Easy to navigate, with simple instructions, and with the guarantee to actually get the desired game key if everything worked out", we thought. "Why not give a share of the profits to webmasters, exceeding the meager commissions from key sellers affiliate programs? Why not give everyone what they want, in an open, honest, straightforward manner?"
Introducing Keymono, the monetization solution for content creators and webmasters in the video game market. The concept is simple: End users get free video game keys for high-quality games. Instead of buying them on Steam, Amazon, or a local retailer, they pay a whopping zero with us. For that, users signup to offers from our advertisers: Completing surveys, downloading free mobile games, to signing up for trials of services. While we may add paid offers to our inventory, too, the basis will always be "keys without fees". And what's in for our affiliates? Simple: Higher commissions and conversion rates than with most "tradiional" ways of marketing video games. While a sale of a 30 USD game at Amazon might bring in 5% (or 1.5 USD), most users simply do not want to spend this amount of money. And while resellers such as G2A and Gamivo might sell the game key for way less (for example, 1.5 USD), they only offer a pretty low payout to their affiliates: Also, around 5% (read: A meager 7-8 Cent per sale).
We, on the other hand, offer a base commission of 1 USD per "sale". The customer gets actually get the game, and for free. The result: More money for affiliates, higher conversion rates, while providing a fair offer for end users. And everyone who has high-quality traffic is allowed in: Small blog owners to larger sites are all invited. And we don't just offer service in one GEO: We strive to cover as many countries around the world as possible.
